As of 04.20.2016 the EU new standards apply, in particular for placing scales on the EU market.
The following relevant directives are affected by the this date:
- Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU
- EMC Directive 2014/30/EU
- ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU
- Measuring Instruments Directive 2014/32/EU
- Directive to non-automatic weighing 2014/31/EU
- Directive on explosives for civil uses 2014/28/EU
Impact on "verified" Scales
The amendments to the regulations also mean that devices that are "verified", starting from 20.04.2016 are labelled in a new way.
Furthermore, the declaration of conformity comes with a new feel - with only slightly different content.
